Trading symbols or tickers are a short abbreviation used to uniquely identify publicly traded shares of a particular stock on a particular stock market. On this site, you can find a list of trading symbols for the biggest worldwide companies. Presented stock symbols are valid for default stock exchange. Be aware, that the same stock can have different trading symbol on other exchanges, if traded elsewhere. We have put also the ISIN codes next to the symbols, since this is a unique identifier of the stock regardless the stock exchange, where it is traded. Sector classification is another useful data; we have used Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB) for this purpose.
